CHUNCHEON, Korea (Aug 21, 2023) - The Gangwon Chuncheon 2023 World Para Taekwondo Open Challenge began today at the Songam Sports Town Main Stadium, Chuncheon with athletes competing across the K44 division in M-58kg, M-63kg, W-47kg, W-65kg and M-70kg. 

 

The Challenge is the last of four premier events to have featured at the Gangwon Chuncheon 2023 World Taekwondo Cultural Festival and will see 81 registered athletes from 18 countries plus Individual Neutral Athlete (AIN) compete. 

 

On the first day of competition the results were as follows:

 

Competition will resume tomorrow for the final day with athletes in the K44 division in M-80kg, W+65kg and M+80kg weight categories featuring. 

 

The Gangwon Chuncheon 2023 World Taekwondo Cultural Festival began on 18 August with the World Taekwondo Octagon Diamond Game, World Taekwondo Demonstration Team Championships and World Taekwondo Beach Championships running from August 18-20.
