HSH Prince Albert II Visits Monaco Taekwondo Event

 

MONACO (Jun. 8, 2024) -  World Taekwondo President Chungwon Choue met His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, who today visited the tournament named in his honor. 

 

The Prince Albert II Cup Taekwondo Tournament was held on June 8  on the occasion of the Olympic Referee Training Camp, which took place between June 7-9.

 

Participating countries in the tourney were France. Italy, Morocco and Spain. The Olympic Referee Training Camp welcomed 13 female and 13 male referees, and included the last revisions to the game ahead of the Paris Olympics.

 

"It is wonderful to see the ever-evolving nature of Taekwondo,” HSH Prince Albert, an IOC member, said. “I will visit the Taekwondo arena at the Paris Olympics as well."

 

President Choue, said, “We will demonstrate the constantly evolving nature of Taekwondo at the Olympics.”
