WT President Makes Fujairah Crown Prince Honorary Taekwondo Black Belt

FUJAIRAH, UAE (Nov, 21, 2018) – World Taekwondo President Chungwon Choue presented Fujairah Crown Prince Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi with an 8th dan taekwondo black belt certificate on a ceremonial plaque at the Rumailah Palace in Fujairah, today.

 

The presentation took place at the Rumailah Palace, on the eve of WT’s end-of-season events, which are all taking place in Fujairah: The 2018 World Taekwondo Grand-Prix Final, the 2018 World Taekwondo Team Championships as well as the 5th Annual Gala Awards.

“Fujairah is doing a wonderful job,” Choue said at the ceremony. He personally thanked the Crown Prince for his efforts on behalf of the sport, which include not just this year’s trio of events, but also the G1-ranked Fujairah Open tournament.

 

In addition to the black belt plaque, Choue presented the royal with a copy of WT’s just-published 45th anniversary book.

 

Then Vice Mayor Liu Xia of Wuxi – the Chinese city which hosts the World Taekwondo Grand Slam series – presented the Crown Prince with a Chinese scroll reading “Fujairah: Harmony and Luck.”

 

The Grand-Prix Final kicks off for a two-day run at the Zayed Sports complex in Fujairah tomorrow.
