Muju Taekwondowon 2024 International Open Virtual Taekwondo Championships concludes in style

 

MUJU, Korea (Sep. 4, 2024) - The second day of the Muju Taekwondowon 2024 International Open Virtual Taekwondo Championships concluded today with Singapore winning all three medals on offer in the individual mixed event.

 

Jia Wei Tan who yesterday won gold in the individual female category added the individual mixed title to her collection. Zi Wei Lim won her second silver of the competition and the individual male winner, Justin Peh, won bronze in the mixed category.

 

With two female athletes and one male athlete on the podium, the mixed category reinforced that Virtual Taekwondo is a sport which is accessible to all irrespective of gender.

 

As in the individual male and female categories, today’s winners will receive $3,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place, and $1,000 for third place.

 

From tomorrow, the Muju Taekwondowon 2024 World Taekwondo Octagon Diamond Game will be held from September 6 to 8 at the T1 Arena in Muju, Korea. The event will feature over 110 athletes from seven countries: Australia, France, Korea, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Rwanda.

 

The event features individual, pair, and mixed team competitions.
