SEOUL, Korea (Dec 9, 2024) - World Taekwondo set up a memorial altar at its headquarters in Seoul from December 9 to 11 to honor the late Grand Master Young Ghil Park, Honorary President of the Italian Taekwondo Federation, who passed away on December 7.

Grand Master Park served as Chair of the World Taekwondo Poomsae Committee from 2014 to 2017, playing a pivotal role in the early development of Poomsae. 

His unwavering dedication not only shaped the history of Taekwondo in Italy but also left a profound impact on the lives of his students, athletes, and leaders, who continue to uphold his enduring legacy.

Although his absence leaves an undeniable void, his teachings, values, and spirit remain a guiding light for us all. As we grieve his loss, we find solace in knowing that his legacy lives on in the dojangs he inspired, the principles he instilled, and the countless lives he touched. His memory will forever stand as a source of guidance and inspiration for the global Taekwondo family.
